Awards
Location: El Paso County Fair Auction Barn

Date: September 27, 2008 6:00pm during the Livestock Auction.

Criteria
· Must be a 4-H or FFA member.
· Must be an exhibitor in the 2008 El Paso County Fair in any division.
· Must be in the 9th through the 12th grade in the current school year.
· Must complete Scholarship Application form and meet deadline requirement.
· Must be present to interview with the Judges.
· “Seniors” must be in the Top 50% of their class.
· “Seniors” must submit a recent “bust” photo.

Please type or print in ink all information requested and submit the original and three (3) copies.

Graduating Seniors must also submit a recent 5 x 7 “bust” photo which will not be returned

Jim Tidwell Scholarship
One each of $300.00 to a 9th, 10th, & 11th grader

EPCFA High School Scholarship
Five (5) $1000.00 to Graduating Seniors

The number and amount of scholarships will be determined each year by the scholarship committee and the Executive Board.

Graduating Seniors Scholarships will be awarded from the applications received and will be presented at the beginning of the El Paso County Fair’s Junior Livestock Auction. 9th, 10th & 11th Grade Scholarships will be awarded from the applications received and will be presented at the beginning of the El Paso County Fair’s Consumer Science Auction. If the application of a scholarship winner is found to have been submitted with false information, the scholarship will be forfeited and the applicant banned from any further El Paso County Fair Scholarship Programs. The funds awarded will be held in the El Paso County Fair Association’s Scholarship Account and will be dispersed to the financial aid office of the school in which the scholarship winner enrolls after graduation from high school. Scholarship winners may ask for a one-college semester deferment in requesting the funds. If a scholarship winner does not utilize available scholarship funds within two years of graduation from high school, the scholarship will be voided and the scholarship funds will be retained by the El Paso County Fair Association for future scholarship use. These awards (except Seniors) may be won by the same individual more than once.
